So I got my new TV. I've been saving since around February...was derailed by some travel expenses that added up more quickly than I would have liked, then by three and a half months of unemployment, but now it's finally here. I got it just after noon on a Wednesday, which meant I had to go back to work for a few hours KNOWING it was in my room and waiting for me to come hook it up. It was like Christmas on a Sunday - knowing the presents were under the tree (either wrapped or unwrapped) was enough to keep my attention away from church - which, I'm sure, is exactly the meaning of Christmas.
