After the NCAA tournament ended last night, they showed the video for "One Shining Moment." This, by itself, would not be enough to warrant mention, except that I love that song.

After our eighth-grade season (the last time I played anything remotely competitive), our coach edited our season highlights into a little music video set to "One Shining Moment." What made it cool was seeing ourselves presented like the college players we admired so much (that year...Christian Laettner? Bobby Hurley?). What made it legendary is that my game-winning freethrow was timed up with the final drumbeat/crash, making my shot the de facto star of the show.

My highlight since then? Intramural dodgeball championship, Fall 2005.
