ON NEW BEGINNINGS

Last night, we finally decided on the name for our new improv group. We're going to be known as "Sky Punch Improv." We have performance opportunities lined up, which is unusual for a new group...although I don't know how new we are, as we've all been performing together for the past eight months (some of us have been together for nigh on two years - that's right, nigh).

I know a lot of groups get to this point and then fizzle out. Honestly, I had my doubts for the past few weeks whether or not we'd actually get started, but it seems like things are going pretty well. There's a certain buzz about us, we're all re-energized and re-excited about these chances. The possibility of making our own way, of blazing our own trail...it's refreshing.

All that remains to get my professional and personal lives in gear and I'll be set, new beginning-wise.
